NW Folklife: Cello X

An eXperiment in cello with Seattle Cello eXperiment at Northwest Folklife.

Cello X was founded in 2010 by local cellist Peter Williams. Their mission is to explore the sonic possibilities and push the boundaries of cello playing. Its members are classically trained and are as comfortable performing Bach as Alice in Chains and Metallica. Cello X specializes in original and unique arrangements of today's most popular music. It has performed at the Triple Door, EMP's Sky Church, The Crocodile, the Seattle Mariners and recorded an album at Jack Straw Studios. This is their 7th year performing at Folklife and could not be more excited!
