Messiaen – Quartet for the End of Time

Olivier Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time stands as an extraordinary example of reaffirmation in a world ostensibly facing apocalyptic destruction. Tangled Rainbows present this seminal 1941 work of the chamber music repertory.

Tangled Rainbows is a clarinet, violin, cello, and piano quartet formed in 2017 at the University of Washington. All four members are doctoral students at the University of Washington School of Music and perform regularly with the UW Modern Ensemble; their mission is to promote and present contemporary music to diverse audiences around the greater Seattle area.
