The Guitar Orchestra of Seattle performs at Northwest Folklife.
Guitar Orchestra is a collective of guitarists that work towards building commmunity and playing fun and interesting music from aroudn the world and across time. Over the last 18 years the Guitar Orchestra have played music arranged from ancient chants and lively folk dances and rocking fantasies from along the Silk Road to arrangements of lullabies from the Ewe people and dances inspried by the Griot of West Africa. Hundreds of folks ongs from Latin America and the group has also brought back to life brilliant symphonies by neglected composers from forgotten dynasties in Europe.
