Gustav Mahler – Symphony No. 5
The Federal Way Symphony will close out its 2018-2019 season with a performance of Gustav Mahler’s monumental Fifth Symphony. Scored for a large orchestra, the Fifth Symphony is epic in both its musical canvas and its emotional scope. The symphony’s fourth movement is Mahler’s most recognized and most frequently performed work, including a Leonard Bernstein-conducted version at Robert F. Kennedy’s funeral mass.
