With a smörgåsbord of more than 10 instruments, including a variety of different kanteles, the trio Soittorasia opens the Mostly Nordic 2019 season with a program of music spanning the folk and classical traditions of Finland. They will demonstrate the versatile beauty of the ancient kantele instruments, the creation of which is celebrated in the Kalevala and is often imitated in other musical works.
