Also on the program are shorter, brilliant, encore-style pieces by Gabriel Fauré, Franz Schubert, and Anton Rubinstein.
Then, Dr. Friesen and two-time Grammy award-winner, musician, and composer Ben Mink will open a window on their friendship, collaboration, and multi-faceted talent. They will announce their part of the program from the stage, but just to give you a hint, past joint endeavors include working on k. d. lang's album Ingénue and recording film scores composed by Mr. Mink. Special treats are in store!
