Come celebrate the introduction of our new orchestra director, Christopher Hanson, in a concert featuring our small chamber ensembles, the Wind Ensemble, and the Symphony Orchestra. The repertoire includes music from the traditional canon of western art music, and a preview of some of the music to be presented at SPU's annual Sacred Sounds of Christmas. This event will be held in First Free Methodist Church adjacent to campus, beginning at 7:30pm. It is free and wheelchair accessible. The event will be livestreamed.

About SPU Symphony Orchestra

Symphony Orchestra is a select ensemble of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments that performs works from the extensive orchestral literature. Symphony Orchestra performs on campus in concerts each quarter, as well as annually at the highly acclaimed Sacred Sounds of Christmas, an Advent and Christmas celebration in downtown Seattle.
