Beetlebox is an experimental composer, keyboardist, and solo artist based in Seattle, Washington who creates original, piano-centered electronic music. Performances by Beetlebox seamlessly weave live renditions of his piano compositions with passages of spontaneous improvisation, enhanced by homemade software synthesizers and interactive computer accompaniment. His intricate control at the keys triggers a plethora of intertwined acoustic and computer-generated sounds.
Drawing inspiration from a wide range of different genres, his music has featured everything from dubstep synthesizers and pop-single samples to orchestral instrumentations and Indian temple rhythms. Beetlebox has carved out a niche somewhere between beautiful and strange, and consistently forges a unique and engaging experience for his audience.
The concert will take place at 8pm.
