The fifth of our Masterworks series features the electrifying Jupiter Quartet performing a concert streamed live. On the program is a World Premiere of a piece commissioned by Bay Chamber Concerts to mark our 60th Anniversary. To Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores by Michi Wiancko delights in the beauty and vitality of the natural world and explores ideas of regeneration, resilience, and hope. The quartet will also play Beethoven’s monumental String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132.
This virtual concert – presented by Rockport, ME’s Bay Chamber Concerts – will be broadcast August 6, 2020 at 7:30pm Pacific. Recorded at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where the ensemble has been artists-in-residence since 2012.
