Join your hosts Captain Joe and Admiral Emily for a LIVE, virtual performance of PianoKids! Come prepared to show off your musical skills and knowledge picked up along our world tour as we present a fun, and interactive final program.

Emily Shelley, Piano Cleveland’s Education and Outreach Coordinator and Joe Leaman – videographer for The Quarantine Concerts – will host a live interactive event for our youngest audience members. This is the culmination of our Virtual PianoKids program, a series of nine short videos that introduces children (K-3) to core musical concepts through a world tour of our partner locations.

About the series: The Virtual PianoKids video series gives children (ages 3-8) the opportunity to travel the world with our hosts, Admiral Emily and Captain Joe, while they introduce them to the building blocks of music through fun and engaging programs. Videos will be 10-15 minutes in length and explore musical concepts such as timbre, tempo, pitch, and form, and will introduce children to music from different cultures around the world. These videos will include fun crafting components, and kinesthetic activities to engage children in multiple modes of learning, teach them how pianos work, and provide fun for the whole family. In addition to these videos, extension activities will be provided for children to continue their learning at home on their own.

All videos will be streamed on the Piano Cleveland website and remain on the Virtual PianoKids page for continued viewing and learning!

The livestream will take place at 11:30am Eastern / 8:30am Pacific.
