Grammy-winning cellist Zuill Bailey returns to Boulder for the first of two programs with the Phil. Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s new concerto, written for Zuill, is full of playful jazz and pop influences. We’re pleased to present the premiere of a chamber-sized revision of the concerto, mirroring the instrumentation of one of the great chamber works in the repertoire, Schubert’s Trout Quintet.
The broadcast will take place at 7:30pm Mountain / 6:30pm Pacific.
