Franz Joseph Haydn – Symphony No. 100 in G major Hob. I:100 “Military”

If watching a live-streamed event on catch-up, you might need to fast forward to the beginning of the concert.

Live from Rome, Daniele Gatti joins the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in a pair of concerts celebrating the Austrian musical landscape, from Haydn to Beethoven and Mahler, with Austrian baritone Markus Werba as soloist.

In the first programme, nature is pitted against military life in Beethoven's powerful "Egmont" Overture, Haydn's "Military" Symphony, and a first selection from Mahler's remarkable songs from Des Knaben Wunderhorn, for which orchestra and conductor are joined by renowned Lieder interpreter Markus Werba.

The livestream will become available January 8 at 11:30am Pacific. Stream available to watch until January 31, 2021. Streaming live from Sala Santa Cecilia, Rome, Italy.

Your ticket purchase will directly support the participating artists through IDAGIO’s Fair Artist Payout Model: IDAGIO pays 80% of the net revenue directly to the performers.
