A night for cello lovers, featuring a unique double-cello work along with Schumann’s moving Cello Concerto reimagined for chamber forces as the composer had planned to do, but did not live to complete. The program also includes a charming triple-violin work by the Phil’s own Paul Trapkus and concludes with Wagner’s sublime Siegfried Idyll – a musical love letter to his wife, Cosima.
A pre-concert discussion will be held via Zoom at 7pm Mountain / 6pm Pacific.
The broadcast will take place at 7:30pm Mountain / 6:30pm Pacific. This event premieres on March 13 and will be available for on-demand viewing until March 27.
