Vienna-based flutist Matei Ioachimescu joins the ATEM Ensemble to present a unique syncretic performance in which works written by some of the finest Romanian composers such as Doina Rotaru, Dan Dediu, Șerban Marcu, Sebastian Androne-Nakanishi, and Aurelian Băcan will be interwoven with works written by George Crumb. These composers’ creative activity is connected by invisible threads, most importantly the drive toward the transcendental. In sync with the theme of this program, the sonic experience will be enhanced by a projection of visual archetypes created by artist and academic researcher Gabriel Kelemen, who has studied for over 30 years the phenomenon of how stationary waves arise in liquids, stimulated by audible sound frequencies.
The livestreaming will be provided by a team from Artistic Tribe, who notably offered in 2020 many successful livestream coverages of concerts from the Romanian Chamber Orchestra tour or concerts from the Eufonia International Festival.
