Throughout the ages, music and magic have been intrinsically linked. Join award-winning recorder quartet Palisander, for a theatrical, multimedia performance. Featuring music by Giuseppe Tartini, J.S. Bach, and Hildegard von Bingen, alongside Renaissance consort music and contemporary works, the performance explores the historic relationship between music and the magical spectrum: including elements of mathematics, philosophy, nature, religion, and the occult. Historical accounts and medieval spells are paired with sensitive visual projections and choreography for a unique event, not to be missed!

The concert will take place at 7:30pm British Summer Time / 11:30am Pacific.

Palisander will also hold an optional pre-performance Online Workshop at 6pm British Summer Time / 10am Pacific. Palisander is renowned for its high quality, imaginative education work. Pitched for intermediate recorder players, this practical Zoom workshop will cover the three main genres of recorder playing: Renaissance, Baroque, & Modern. Sheet music will be sent in advance and the pieces will then feature in the show in a ‘play along’ format, for you to join in with from home!

Tickets: £10 / $13.74 USD (£15 / $20.61 USD concert + workshop)
