Tariq Harb has won several major international competitions and has established himself as one of the leading classical guitarists of his generation, being described as "masterful", "flawless", and "refined". He has performed in prestigious halls in Jordan, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Cairo, Montréal, and New York; and taught masterclasses in many guitar festivals in Canada and the US. Harb has 6 solo albums, 2 educational DVDs on Fernando Sor and Matteo Carcassi, and two publications: one proposing a method to adapt music for the guitar, and his own edition of Carcassi’s 25 Etudes, Op. 60. He is also a composer and has written several works for solo guitar. 

Tariq currently holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Performance degree from McGill University, and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Concordia University. He joined Concordia University’s Music Department as a faculty member in the fall of 2015.
