The culmination of an intensive annual competition of some 150 original entrants, six Concerto Division Winners of the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival Association (SYAMFA) will perform concerti by Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Bartók, and Shostakovich in a stellar event accompanied by Philharmonia Northwest, conducted by Julia Tai. Audience members should prepare to be astonished by the adult level performances they will hear! 

The concert is a music event of the highest caliber and should not be missed by any classical music lover. Division winners have gone on to study at The Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory and other prestigious schools.

About Jonathan Zheng, piano

Having started piano at the age of 6, Jonathan Zheng previosly studied with Dr. Peter Mack and is studying at the Oberlin Conservatory under the tutelage of Stanislav Ioudenitch. He has won numerous achievements including winning the Ebony Prize at the Music Teachers National Association, first prize at the Claudette Sorel Piano Competition in New York, first prize at the 2022 Steinway/Avanti Future Stars Piano Competition in Arizona, the Seattle Symphony Young Artists Concerto competition, and many others.
