Arts Without Barriers – Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra

LWSO is thankful to work with Performing Arts Center Eastside through their 2nd Annual Arts Without Barriers program. On May 5, a woodwind quintet from LWSO will be at the Marketplace at Factoria from 5-7pm; on May 14, a string quartet from LWSO will be at the Issaquah Art Walk and Garden Stroll from 6-8pm.
Arts Without Barriers is a celebration of free, live performances at Eastside locations. In its inaugural year, the program featured local artists performing two-hour family friendly music sets! Originally intended to last 10 weeks, the program was so popular, it had several extensions that lasted a total of 9 months, reaching more than 60,000 audience members.
This year, it is PACE’s intent to once again partner with Gigs4U to provide solo and duet live musical experiences. However, Gigs4U will not be our only arts partner. Shining a spotlight on the amazing arts organizations on the Eastside, PACE has engaged in conversation with NM Entertainment, Sustain Music Project, and Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra to feature their work as well.
Like last year, every performance will be free of charge to the public, family-friendly, and located in areas either with high foot traffic or where large community gathers. Once again, the celebration is scheduled to take place in the Spring with a 9-week performance structure opening April 4 and closing June 5.
