Interesting things happen when artists, composers, and creators spend time studying and living in cultures outside of the one they were born into. A cross-cultural experience flavors their artistic output and simultaneously strengthens their connection to their, usually humble, roots within their own culture.

Baritone Misha (Mikhail) Myznikov and pianist Natalya Ageyeva will guide us through a concert highlighting those cross-cultural connections expressed in music. Through songs and piano works they'll explore composers from the 19th and 20th centuries who lived, visited, or studied abroad, often to return home with expanded musical understanding of their native and learned cultural traditions.
