Join Coty Raven Morris, the Visiting Professor of Choir, Music Education, and Social Justice in the School of Music & Theater, and members of the PSU Choirs at this Community Sing event. Community Sings are an opportunity for students to create fellowship through music by learning a selection of songs by rote, accompanied by piano, percussion, and a company of voices. No preparation is needed, and all are welcome.
The Community Sing on November 10 is the official kickoff to the Choir for Houseless Communities Initiative, a pilot project led by Morris, to bring music education to organizations serving vulnerable populations in the greater Portland area.
