Carnegie Hall Citywide: Calidore String Quartet with Bridget Kibbey, Harp
Free
Claude Debussy — String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10, L. 91
André Caplet — The Masque of the Red Death (after Edgar Allan Poe)
Over the past decade, the New York–based and internationally renowned Calidore String Quartet has established itself as one of the most reputable chamber ensembles. "Four more individual musicians are unimaginable," and yet even across an impressively wide range of repertoire, they "speak, breathe, think, and feel as one" (The Washington Post). In this free performance, the quartet joins forces with boundary-demolishing harpist Bridget Kibbey, called "a marvel" (The New York Times).
