About The Adventures of Basstronaut: The performance features Mozart's motet for solo soprano, Exsultate Jubilate, using one of his organ sonatas as a short overture. The story follows the adventures of Basstronaut as she travels through space on a journey from her home planet, only to crash into the Caribbean Sea. She continues her mission of researching Earth's sea life while looking for her spaceship, making an octopus friend on the way. The piece is sung in Latin, but there's no need to understand the text. In fact, understanding the text might make you even more confused!
