Performed by Mivos Quartet, "one of America's most daring and ferocious new-music ensembles" (The Chicago Reader), the six-piece program features works composed between 2014-2021 that draw on influences across the different facets of Thirlwell's cross-genre practice creating music of dramatic intensity and evocative, cinematic quality. These string quartets feature both long-form, conventional writing and open instructional pieces.
