The Poulenc Trio returns with an exciting new commission by composer Viet Cuong, a beautiful set of songs by Poulenc, and classic works by Françaix, Glinka, and Rossini.

"Twenty years ago, on May 11, 2003, we embarked on an incredible journey as we performed a special Mother's Day recital at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore. Showcasing Francis Poulenc's iconic Trio, the best-known work for piano and double-reeds, we found the perfect inspiration for our ensemble's name, and thus, The Poulenc Trio was born.

"Today, we're overjoyed to celebrate our 20th anniversary season, filled with unforgettable moments of rediscovering and redefining piano-wind chamber music for the 21st Century. Over the past two decades, we have:

• Performed over 400 concerts across the U.S. and around the world

• Appeared in 46 States (Alaska, Maine, Montana, and Wyoming, you're next!)

• Thrilled thousands of students with educational outreach programming

• Collaborated with an array of world-class musicians, authors, and visual artists

• Released critically-acclaimed studio recordings (more on the way)

• . . . and have blown through countless reeds!"

Attending online: The link will be revealed to live stream participants 15 minutes before the show and will remain active for one week.
