Cappella Romana, with Cantor Photini Downie Robinson, leads Vespers service at the Grotto.
Cappella Romana is well known to west coast audiences and indeed around the world for their performances of medieval Byzantine chant (the Eastern sibling of Gregorian chant), Greek and Russian Orthodox choral works, and other sacred music that expresses the historic traditions of a unified Christian inheritance.
Presented in conjunction with the American Guild of Organists West Region Convention, July 10-13. This event is free and open to the public.
