An all-British lineup of stars joins the orchestra for this alluring program. Renowned conductor Mark Wigglesworth makes his long-anticipated Seattle Symphony debut with the radiant and lush Second Symphony by Elgar. This joyful tribute to England’s king belies a hidden complexity and tender emotion. The insightful soloist Stephen Hough plays a masterpiece of Romanticism, Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto.
