About George Steward, trumpet
"I am principal trumpet with Cascade Symphony Orchestra, Everett Philharmonic and Octava Chamber Orchestra. I also am a member of Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra and North Corner Chamber Orchestra. I am a founding member of Brass Reflections, a local brass quintet, and in the past have been part of rock bands and Latin bands. I enjoy arranging music and have arranged a number of pieces for my brass quintet. I also sometimes provide my own arrangements and trumpet descants when playing for churches and weddings.
"I am also frequently invited to perform with many local orchestras, bands and choirs. Some of these are Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Federal Way Symphony, Symphony Tacoma, and Yakima Symphony.
"I have performed in many solo and chamber settings, from Baroque music to brand new pieces written especially for me. As a soloist I have performed with bands and orchestras on the West Coast, the Midwest and in New England. Locally I've been a featured soloist with: Octava Chamber Orchestra, Skagit Symphony, Sammamish Symphony, Northwest Wind Symphony, Everett Symphony, Cascade Symphony, Mukilteo Community Orchestra, Philharmonia Northwest, Eastside Symphony, Brass Band Northwest, Boeing Employees Concert Band, Whatcom Wind Ensemble, Everett Philharmonic, Thalia Symphony, Rainier Symphony, and live on KING FM." – George Steward
