Evergreen Ensemble presents a program centered on the relationship between grief and gratitude, and how those two universal experiences so often coexist. The program will revolve around the Mass in G major set by Marcel Tyberg, a promising Austrian composer who was tragically killed in the holocaust. Interspersed, and replacing some of the more convential mass litrugical elements, will be a series of anthems by Stephen Paulus, John Ness Beck, Jocelyn Hagen, Pablo Casals, Stephen Chatman, and Matthew Emery. These pieces will weave a narrative of how we often find our way from grief into a feeling of gratitude for the gifts that remain by that which was lost.

2 performances:
- Saturday, November 11, 7pm at Edmonds United Methodist Church
- Sunday, November 12, 3pm at Trinity Parish Church in Seattle
