Seattle Flute Society: Adult Amateur Day with Guest Adjudicator Karla Flygare & the SFS Flute Choir

Join us for an all-new event designed specifically for adult amateur flute players and enthusiasts! Adult Amateur Day is a non-competitive flute solo and ensemble festival which offers adult non-professional flutists the chance to perform for and receive personalized comments from a distinguished guest adjudicator.
Any flute player over 18 who does not make a living performing flute or teaching flute lessons is eligible to sign up for a non-competitive adjudication slot. There is no minimum level of skill required—all flute enthusiasts are welcome. Interested flutists must register in advance to perform either as a soloist or with friends in an ensemble of up to 6 people. Our 2024 Guest Adjudicator, Karla Flygare, will provide both spoken and written comments and suggestions. The performances and adjudication sessions will be open to the public.
During the lunch break there will be a short performance by the Seattle Flute Society Flute Choir, followed by a 40-minute Flute Choir reading session open to everyone! (No pre-registration needed for the Community Flute Choir Reading Session)
