Harold Lloyd stars in what is perhaps one of the most beloved and iconic comedies of the entire silent era, Safety Last! (1923) directed by Fred C. Newmeyer and Sam Taylor. A young man moves to New York City determined to make enough money to support himself and his loving girlfriend (played by Lloyd's real life wife Mildred Davis) back home but soon discovers that making it in the Big Apple is more treacherous than it looks.
