Superstar cellist Pablo Ferrández makes his long-awaited return to the Olympic Music Festival for one night only! He joins Artistic Director Julio Elizalde in a recital of romantic cello works including Beethoven's virtuosic Sonata in G minor and Franck's lyrically inspired Sonata in A major. Ferrández has taken the world by storm as one of the greatest cellists of our time and has made major debuts this season with the Seattle Symphony and San Francisco Symphony. He recently performed alongside legendary violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter with the LA Philharmonic under the baton of Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. Ferrández performs on the "Archinto" Stradivarius cello from 1689 on loan from a member of the Stretton Society.
